Walt Kelly's Pogo first appeared in Animal Comics #1
in 1942. Kelly started the Pogo newspaper comic strip on October 4, 1948.

1952 POGO daily comic strip drawn by Walt Kelly. [Below] The artist practiced his brush work on the reverse side before finally inking the finished art. We display well over a dozen Walt Kelly originals. Many of them have wonderful Holiday themes.
